Homeowner and Family Services

The staff assists prospective homeowners through the application process, during the construction of their home, and after move-in. The first step is attending an Orientation held in the ReStore Conference Room bi-monthly. The Orientation is required to apply for the Program. Successful acceptance into the Home Ownership Program does not guarantee housing. However, it is a requirement for Lot Assignment after successfully accomplishing the Willingness to Partner Process.

After the initial screening, a home visit is scheduled. Once the qualification process is complete families will be notified in writing. Once selected, the “sweat equity” hours begin. Families are expected to complete educational classes on Home Buyer and financial literacy as well as HOA and maintenance classes.

Purchasing a home can be a very exciting yet scary time; it is our goal to work in partnership with families to assist them in their dream of homeownership.
