Build-A-Palooza
This vibrant event will feature a lineup of incredible musicians — from local acoustic sets to high-energy house and bass acts. Alongside the music, Build-A-Palooza will offer a beer garden, food trucks, a community carnival, and family-friendly games hosted by local nonprofits.
But beyond the fun, this event has a powerful purpose: every dollar raised will help fund our mortgage program for individuals and families in our Homeownership Program, helping them build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing.
Hammers & High Heels
Join us for an unforgettable night at Hammers & High Heels, Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County’s signature fundraising gala! Held at the stylish Subterrain, this lively evening features live music, delicious food and drinks, a spirited live auction, and plenty of dancing—all in support of affordable homeownership in our community.
Dress to impress (with a construction flair if you dare!) and help us build brighter futures, one home at a time. All proceeds go directly toward our 2025 Homeownership Program, helping local families achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
Powerhouse Summer Concert Series
Need a midweek pick-me-up? Join us Wednesday, July 30 at the Powerhouse Summer Concert Series for a funky break in your week! Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County is the featured beneficiary, and we’ll be celebrating with live music from our friends Yope, Durango’s favorite funk band.
We’ll also be debuting our brand-new, improved Habitat merch—stop by, say hello, and check it out. It’s a great way to support affordable housing and enjoy a summer evening with the community.
RedBall Express
RedBall Express is a local fundraising event organized by the Rotary Clubs of La Plata County. Click here to purchase tickets and Habitat La Plata will receive a portion of the ticket price.

Contractor's Yard Sale
The annual Contractors Yard Sale will help raise funds for the Home Builders Association of Southwest Colorado Trade Scholarship Fund and Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County.
Local companies in the home building industry from all over the 4 corners area are coming together to sell building products at deeply discounted prices. The building products will go fast and the sale is one day only!

Volunteer Informational Social
Come learn about the volunteer opportunities we have at the Bayfield duplex build site, ReStore, fundraisers, and community events. A casual Q&A hour to meet staff, other volunteers, and ask your questions. No RSVP required. Snacks provided.
30th Anniversary Celebration
Join us in celebrating our 30th Anniversary of serving La Plata County!
Free community event, food available for purchase, 100% of donations for Mini-golf will go to Habitat.
