    Kaylie Magner (she/her)

    Program Director/ Family Services

    Kaylie Magner is the Program Director at Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County, where she oversees Construction, Lending, and Family Programs and supports partner families throughout the homeownership journey. She brings many years of experience working with community organizations and nonprofits across La Plata County, with a career grounded in service, advocacy, and relationship-building.

    Kaylie has lived in Durango for over 30 years and raised her family here, giving her a deep and personal connection to the community she serves. She is passionate about expanding opportunities for local families to build stability and generational roots through affordable homeownership.

    Outside of work, Kaylie enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, gardening, and working on creative home projects. She loves being part of the Durango community and helping make it a place where families can thrive.

    Alex came to Durango to attend Fort Lewis College, where he built the foundation for his career. After graduating, he spent 26 years working in the snow and ski industry. Seeking a more community-focused path, he made a career pivot to serve others more directly. Today, Alex enjoys connecting with community members and helping them access essential resources—from furniture and building supplies to housing information.
